Parent’s! You aren’t going to want your children to miss out on this one. Sunday, July 19th, 2009 we will have a “Splash” of a day in Journey Land. Children ages 3 thru kindergarten will participate in our “Water Day” in J-Land.
All three services, 8:30am, 10:00am and 11:30am we will have a “BLOW-UP” WATER SLIDE set up outside for our children. (Children 2 years old and younger will participate with inside activities, bounce house and games.)
The following are a few guidelines so you and your child will be prepared when you visit Journey Land.
- Invite your friends to come. This is a great opportunity for children to invite their friends to come and play at church with them. Parent’s, this is a great opportunity to invite your “fish.” Those who may not come on a regular Sunday may attend with their children for this event.
- Children must wear their bathing suits.
- Water shoes would be very helpful.
- Sunscreen must be applies prior to arrival in Journey Land. 1/2 hour before is recommended.
- Bring a towel, label your child’s name on the tag.
- We suggest you bring a change of clothing for your child. You will be able to use the facilities once service is over to change.
- Please let us know if your child may have any special needs for this activity.
Activities will include:
- Water Slide
- Yoga for kids
- Side walk chalk
- Bubble machine
- Snacks/Drinks
I hope that you find this to be a fun event for your child. Please invite your friends this week. Maybe, just maybe they will want to come back the next Sunday.
Reminder: July 26th, 2009 is our Pajama day in Journey Land. We will be showing a kid friendly movie. Dress your child in some comfy pjs! We will also have a special visitor on this day…..Hunter the dog! Please make us aware of allergies so we can make proper arrangements for your child.
This past month we have studied the bible story of “Noah’s Ark.” “Trust the Lord with all your heart.” Proverbs 3:5. It was a wonderful month with the children. I believe everyone involved had a blast. Watching the leaders interact with the children, singing, dancing, and telling the stories was a joy to watch. I hope you have asked your child a little bit about what they are learning in Journey Land.
Our next series will be on “Jonah.” This should we a hoooooot…..”God’s way is perfect.” Psalm 18:30. We have lot’s of crafts to do, new songs to learn and lot’s of activities to keep our children engaged. Who knows what they will walk away with, but three things they will know for sure, “God Made Me,” “God Loves Me,” and “Jesus wants to be my friend forever.”
