This week in Journey Land our children will be learning that “Friends Forgive Others.” Looking at the Bible story of Joseph and his brothers, Genesis 37: 1-36 and Genesis 45: 1-28 – the children will learn how to apply “God wants me to be a friend by forgiving others.
Our toddler/2′s joined our 3′s, 4′s and 5′s this past month in our new series “Spy Chase.” It has been a great experience the past two weeks teaching the children about Jesus. I hope you have been able to talk with your children each week about what they are learning in Journey Land.
We are sending home a “family devotional” with each child. This gives you an opportunity during the week to spend time with them talking about the lesson they learned on Sunday. It opens the doors at an early age to make “Jesus” the most important part of your child’s life.
Below is an overview of the lesson for September 4th, 2011 in Journey Land. We are so excited to spend time with you and your children. Thank you for allowing us to build a foundation that will last a lifetime.

“spy clues” This activity will help the children enjoy the spy theme while parents are dropping their children off into the classroom.
“Bozo Ball Drop” Through the game, Bozo Ball Drop, children will learn how to be a good friend and forgive others.
“Bible Story” Video Portion (Genesis 37:1-36 & 45: 1-28)
- Song: Spy Kids
- Bible Story: This teaching time will show the children how Pogo and Dot learn that “Friends forgive others.”
- Song: I will be a Friend
“Clue Hunt” This activity time will help the children review the Main Point and Bible Story.
“Popsicle Stick Puppets” This craft will give the kids the chance to act out the Bible Story so they can remember to be a good friend and forgive others.
“Forgiveness Freeze Tag” The purpose of this activity is to teach the children they should forgive others.
