After June, we will break up July and August into 3 sections: Noah, Jonah, and Friendship.

*We will have other “special guests” from time to time not listed on this guide.

HOW??

How will this work?

You will receive a curriculum packet with all the Bible stories, crafts, activities, and games.  We will tell you what to do, what to say, and what you will need (and, as always, we will provide all the necessary materials.)

How will I know what to do and when to do it?

For June, our schedule will stay as is (schedules are posted in each classroom notebook).

Beginning in July, each week a schedule will be handed out with your activities and times.  Since each week is different, your schedule will most likely be different every week.  We will still make time for snacks and bathroom/diaper changes.  Your curriculum packet and schedule will be your guide to running a successful class!

WHY??

Why are we changing things up?

We wanted to change things up and have a “Camp Journey Land” theme.   We  wanted a way to get out the wiggles (hence the dancing and some kid’s yoga).

WHAT??

What about music?  The kids love the music!!

Fear not!  We haven’t forgotten about music!  Each class will have a CD player and a CD to use all summer long.  When and what to play will be included on your schedule each week.  In fact, we’ll even be providing a CD to take home for our weekly and bi-monthly volunteers in the toddler-5K rooms so you can listen to and memorize the songs.

What else?

Over the course of the summer, we will be encouraging our older kids to earn beads on necklaces by memorizing Bible verses, good behavior, perfect attendance, bringing friends, learning the books of the Bible, etc (we will give you more information on this later).

We will also run a competition in July to see which classroom can bring the most offering – by WEIGHT – to Journey Land.

Who knows what other fun things may come up over the summer…and if you have great ideas, then please share, after all Journey Land is a team effort!!
